Indian Journal of Paediatric Dermatology (IJPD) is the official publication of Indian Society for Paediatric Dermatology (ISPD). When the association was formed, it was decided to publish a bulletin to communicate and educate the members regarding the activities of the association and updating their knowledge in the field of Paediatric Dermatology. The two page bulletin was edited by Dr. D. A Satish, the Vice- President of association. It continued for two years and in 1998 ISPD had decided to come out with full fledged journal. The founder editor of the journal was Dr. Deepak Parikh. He nurtured the journal and gave shape to its organization and continued for 5-6 years. At that time, ISPD used to distribute a copy of the journal to all IADVL members during its annual meetings. This attracted many more dermatologists to ISPD.

ISPD instituted award for the best article published in the journal in the year 2002. Later Dr. D.M Thappa took over the editorship from Dr. Deepak Parikh. He brought newer ideas and the journal grew in stature. Dr S. Criton took over the editorship in 2008. He instituted more changes and new sections were introduced. Dr Sandipan Dhar, the present editor, took over the editorship in July 2013 and has brought upon radical improvements and started the journal on a path to indexing .
